19th Century English Gothic Bronze Table Lamp, Pugin Style (pair Available).
This is a stunning solid bronze table lamp, converted from a Victorian Gothic candlestick. It is typical gothic style, a square pillar decorated with patterns reflecting those by Augustus Pugin, the architect of the renowned gothic
interiors of the Houses of Parliament.
It was originally fully gilded but with age the gilding has rubbed to reveal the patina of the bronze. The skill of the design and craftsmanship is evident. It has also been fully rewired with gold Italian made 3 core cable, a switched brass B22 bulbholder and a UK plug.
At the time of writing I have a matching pair but I can also sell individually.
Dimensions:
Height- 30cm (top of bulbholder)
Width- 11cm square
Cable- 180cm
1X B22 bulb required.
Bulb and shade not included.
