Pair Of Antique 19th Century Patinated & Gilded Bronze Baluster Table Lamps.
These lamps were last sold at Christieâs in their 1999 catalogued auction (see label on base).You can view this online and see they sold for £575 (plus commission) in 1999 at Christieâs, they would fetch far more now.
These have ivy and floral cast handles, shell decorated bases with paw feet, re-gilt and patinated Bronze. These were once paraffin lamps and have been converted at some point in their history. The patinated bronze body is engine turned (Guilloche) and is shaped in an beautiful
baluster form.
Fully rewired with new fittings and braided cable.
